La Tomatina

 

La Tomatina is an annual event in Buñol.

​

It is usually towards the end of august and involves a big street tomato throwing explosion of fun. 

​

You will need to book with the organisers in advance.

Las Fallas

​

Las Fallas is one of the first main feltivals of the year throughout the Community of Valencia.

​

Ninots or statues are erected in most towns and villages.

Expect, Fireworks, Crackers and Lots of energy. 

All ninots are burnt except the winner of the childrens the  adult displays

Coves de Sant Josep

Coves de Sant Josep offers its visitors a quiet boat ride along one of the most spectacular navigable underground rivers.

​

Float through caves and see the formations, then walk a short distance and travel back by boat again.

​

L'Albufera

A UNESCO area of outstanding beauty.  If you like paella this is where a lot of the rice is grown.  from moors, romans and the spanish the Albufera has a long history.

Gandia City

 

Gandia is a little known gem of a city only 30 min south of Valencia city.  Home to the famous Borja family one, francisco de borja, was the pope. 

Beautiful blue flag beach in Grao de Gandia and lots of history in a easily accessible and walkable city.
