Our Story
The Beginning
We purchcased the Villa in early 2005 with the intent of moving to Spain. We wanted to restore the house, which at that time was in a sad condition and was just waiting for love and attention.
During the next 3 years we completely renovated the house, gardens, pool and the old garage and chicken coop. This meant living in a construction site but it was great fun.
First Renovations 2005 to 2007
The Fire & Tree Fall
After the Local Inferno
We started renting to guests but only 3 years lated the whole area caught fire and unfortionately Casa Azahara was in the path of the inferno. Having decimated the gardens, verandah and pool area we had to renovate again, (this was a very sad period).
What you see now is those repairs with more design and beautification added over time to try to make your holiday experience as wonderful as we can.
Later after strong winds we had a tree fall onto the verandah as well!
Welcome to You Escape
Casa Azahara, Your Valencian Villa has been running for a few years now. We are continuously trying to add new things, sometimes small sometimes large. Our main objective is to give you the best holiday we are able to.
We have worked hard repaving the garden, pool area and planting new plants.
The swimming pool was re-grouted in February 2024 (this was not a fun job for me), and we have extended the seating area below the pool terrace which we now call ¨the Rancho¨.
